Welcome to Our School

A Welcome Message from the Headteacher

I warmly welcome you to our school website.

At Durrington Infant and Junior Federated Schools, we pride ourselves on recognising and responding to the individual needs of our children and their families. This is achieved through an encouraging and supportive environment where everyone is motivated to succeed. Our school values recognise the importance of working together to achieve high standards of behaviour, respect and learning which is why we promote a close partnership with parents and carers.

We are a large school with extensive grounds for sports and outdoor activities. We have specialised classrooms for modern foreign languages, computing, music, art, nurture and supported learning. This is enhanced by the expertise of specialist teaching staff to ensure the children access a broad and creative curriculum. This, along with our developing range of extra-curricular clubs, serves to inspire and motivate learning.

We have a Nursery class which takes children from the age of three, where children are encouraged to discover the world through a range of activities in a secure environment.

We are also fortunate enough to have a Special Support Centre (SSC) for eleven children with social communication difficulties from 7-11 years old. The Centre is run by highly qualified and dedicated staff members who support the children to integrate into mainstream classes, as well as inside the SSC.

We hope that the information provided on our website helps you to gain an insight into life at our school and the values to which we work.  However, if you need any further information, or would simply like to have a look around, please do not hesitate to get in touch to make an appointment through the school office.

We very much look forward to working together with you to challenge, inspire and motivate your children to become independent, confident and caring citizens.
